The Nassal Company fabricated the volcano and area development rockwork, as well as the theming. The 200-foot-tall Volcano was a design/build effort to maximize both schedule and budgets as directed by the owner. The volcano features over 150,000 square feet of rockwork, and area development consisting of an additional 150,000 square feet, with an overall on-site duration of under 12 months.
Volcano Bay is the first water theme park constructed by Universal Orlando. The park is themed around a 200-foot-tall volcano named "Krakatau", and is made up of four immersive areas with 18 different attractions that allow guests to experience innovative opportunities for thrills and rejuvenation.
