The Nassal Company self-performed the rock-work fabrication and themed paint. Scope included shotcrete pool, boulders, and rocks. Nassal also used plaster and theme paint to create the new environment.
Opened in Spring 2017, the African Overlook exhibit at The Caldwell Zoo is their recently renovated area that features both Elephants and Giraffes on display. With over three years of planning, the project created a new ADA accessible pathway, a new café with indoor seating and expanded outdoor seating, a giraffe feeding deck where visitors can purchase food to feed and interact with the animals, a bigger elephant yard and pool, and an elephant activity center.
