Cape Canaveral, FL: This week, The Nassal Company removed from display an 7,000 lb fire breathing dragon; a shuttle engine which flew in the maiden Challenger flight and multiple subsequent flights. This engine has been on display since 1997 at Kennedy Space Center. Nassal took the engine off display to be refurbished for display in the new Atlantis home which is scheduled to open in July 2013.
The Nassal Company is proud to partner with Delaware North and the architect and design firm, PGAV, on bringing the home of Atlantis to life, all in the name of NASA. Nassal’s scope includes fabricating various exhibits and interactive displays of the 90,000 square foot interactive exhibit to tell the story of Atlantis and the 30-year Space Shuttle Program and what lies ahead in space exploration.
